I hate to sound all Polly Prissypants, but Winston could you please change your screen name to something more dignified than a 4th grade joke? Srsly.

Should we also be asking how someone with a screen name of Vicious Babushka has any credibility when it comes to judgements of what is, and isn’t dignified? Really srsly, a screen names like that seems to imply a geriatric conceit. I bet it really means something, to those living in Sun City!

Oh, come on.

I’ve gotten somewhat used to your nic, but at first I didn’t even want to look at any of your Pages because of it.

Go ahead, make fun of mine now.

A bit overly sensitive?

I spent a night in Sun City once. Watched Fox News while my hosts bitched about the “freaks” in LA. Bit of a low point in my life…lol

wrenchwench - so it seems that you have “gotten used to it”? Well, I’ll tell you the difference between mine and hers. The difference is that if you didn’t get used to hers then you would have an “angry granny” on your hands and if you didn’t get used ti mine, and told me so, I’d say to you,”… . ” you know.

I think that a name that one gets to give oneself says a not about one’s self image. People probably are very intelligent “angry grandmothers” but I surely wouldn’t read their posts because of their chosen name or not. Just as I would like to think that I wouldn’t judge someone’s character by whether they were “darker” than I am or that their same was ” Precious Washington”.

abcnews.go.com

So, anyone who doesn’t want to read what I post do to the screen name, I got two words for you, “Haywood Jabloeme”.

And, if anyone is bored enough to know, I am was born as far away (almost) from NY / NJ as you can be and my background is as far (metaphorically, as well as racially / socio economically and historically) from “Precious Washington” as one can geometrically (stretching the definition of Pythagorus’ theorem) get.

Forget race and culture. Think of it from a gender perspective. If you say,’Hey would ya blow me’ to a guy, that’s just guy talk. If you say it to a woman, it’s more like a verbal assault.

You chose your nic, your parents didn’t. Frankly, your reaction to comments on your nic mean more than your nic.

So do comments on someone’s nic say more about them than the nic?

Do you mean do my comments on his nic say more about me than my nic does? Yes.

It’s fairly obvious, just look up a little bit. Although I’d call it more of a comment, rather than ‘bitching’.

I had a similar opinion and thought I should chime in so Polly Prissypants wouldn’t feel alone, because she’s not. I’m guessing the nic offended me more than her, because I see it more as disgusting than juvenile.

So sorry that us over 50 ladies don’t care for ‘Hey wouldja blow me’.

(My apologies if you’re not over 50, VB.)

let me think, what it is that “ladies over 50 don’t care for” my nic or … . . I just got an idea. I’ll change my name to “I don’t give a fuck what ladies over 50 think, especially when, what they they think doesn’t matter much”.

Nawh, too long.

But VB’s current word du jour - “fucktard” - is ok right?

(I don’t have a problem with that word myself, it’s just confusing trying to navigate the minefield of your pecksniffery).
